The Pittsburgh Pirates minor league system combined for 12 home runs on Thursday.
There was a home run derby in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league system on Thursday night.
It got to the point that the Minor League Plays of the Day video had to be expanded to a Top 11 to fit every home run that had video.
Below is a quick recap of every player who homered, along with the video for you to watch each blast.
Not included in the daily video, DSL outfielder Limanol Payero hit his first career home run in his second pro season.
Jhonny Severino hit his 18th home run of the season, and his third in his last five games. Severino is second in the minor league system in home runs.
Edward Florentino added his eighth home run of the season. This comes one day after he was announced to the MLB Futures Game.
Josh Tate hit his third home run since moving up to High-A, one of five homers hit in Greensboro tonight.
Keiner Delgado just returned to Double-A this week, and hit his fourth homer of the season tonight. He also recently stood out for his middle infield defense.
Sammy Stafura is on a power run lately. His home run tonight marked the third game in a row with a homer. He has four homers in his last five games.
Bralyn Brazoban has been impressive with his power emergence this season. This was his second homer in Bradenton, both coming in the last three games.
Titus Dumitru homered for the second game in a row for Altoona, giving him 12 on the season. He only hit nine last year in High-A.
Easton Carmichael hit his 12th homer of the season. This is the first full season for last year’s third rounder, and he’s shown power both home and away.
Richard Ramirez is on a hot streak lately, involved in two walk-off winners this week. His five-game hit streak now includes two home runs.
Nick Cimillo gave Indianapolis a late lead with a three run homer in the eighth inning, after they were down 2-1 heading into the at-bat.
Duce Gourson had the biggest blast of the day, belting a grand slam. He also stole three bases, and was the system’s Batter of the Day.
