Watched Termarr for a long while in Toon Town and have been pulling for the guy. I think he's a slow-cooker. It seemed at AA, he took some time but eventually graduated. I think it might be more of the same at AAA and probably at the bigs one day. (I mean, we're all waiting for Henry Davis still, right?). Maybe he's just one of those guys who had to study hard for everything he got in school or something.
I see on the player page Hernandez seems to have run into the long ball at Greensboro. He was clearly too good for low A and ... IDK... is it the band boxes in that league or is there an adjustment that he's running into.
On the P2 site, I gotta say it's looking really good. Way good.
On a personal side, it is nice to have the best baseball writer in the market back live. I'm'a hang out for a couple months at the $10 level b/c I'm spending everything I have getting ready to drop three new studio recordings this year, so I'm short. But as soon as I can go founding, I'll be there.

I’ve been reading your material since nearly the beginning probably. I’d say you’re definitely the one who has kept me the most interested in paying attention to the prospect level baseball.
The best thing for Termarr is his age. He has plenty of time to figure it out. Altoona showed some promise with a higher average, but that was without power and due to a BABIP spike. So far in AAA he's back to the same lower average, lower BABIP, and lower power this time. He shouldn't be looked at in the scope of helping the big leagues any time soon, but he also could take a few years of development and still be young enough to be considered a prospect. The challenge will be the Rule 5. He needs to be added this offseason, which will only give him three years before he needs to be in the big leagues for good.
Hernandez reminds me of something I was thinking about recently. I'm typing this shortly after Murf Gray hit his second home run of the day for Greensboro. He's the third player in the last two days at that level with multiple homers, even though this series is in Asheville. The Pirates used to say that they tell their hitters that their numbers are real at that level, even if the park factors are favorable. This is an attempt to boost the confidence of the hitters. If that's the case, I wonder how many pitchers need to be convinced of the opposite, that the home run results aren't a reflection on their talent?
I wonder what's worse? Subjecting Hernandez to advanced talent in Double-A, or putting him through a level where he's going to give up a lot of home runs that might be somewhat damaging to his confidence and development approach.

I couldn't tell you, to be honest. I've read some reports saying he has the arm to stay at third, but lacks the first step quickness to stick on the left side of the infield. I think A-ball is too early to tell for defensive projections, unless it's obvious in one direction or the other.

What's the report on Murf Grays defense at third base? Can he handle the hot corner in the bigs??
